The Mourning Mother was part of a traveling Noh theater performing group.

She, along wither son, were in a theater when it caught fire. She died while searching for her son.
Now,  she haunts the ground of the theater searching for her son, not knowing that her son's spirit

enhabits the mask binding to her.
